Thanks for this lovely list!
Hmmmm…strange…I used to work for Starbuck’s and I mixed the frap bases all the time….the original coffee base which is the foundation for the frap base is dairy free but then we would add milk to that along with a powder frap base and that is what we made fraps with….so unless things have changed in a couple years…..a fully made basic frap DOES have milk in it. They may have confirmed that the powder bases are dairy free but the fully made frap base is made with milk. You might want to ask a Starbuck’s empoyee how they make the frap bases before ordering one.
yes, the formula was changed this year. the base is dairy free if it is made with soy.
Any word on the pumpkin spice? I seem to recall that it is decidedly unvegan, but that may have manifested out of my annoyance with Starbucks lack of information.
i actually sent them an email this morning after I got their “announcement” email about it… i’ll post when i get a response!
I’ve been googling around, just saw a recent letter from Starbucks customer service listing ingredients, and, there are milk products in the pumpkin spice syrup. (very, very sad)
yea on the more recent post of the ingredients i mention that…. i posted an updated list last week….
is the double chocolaty chip frapp none vegan too because it seems to contain the same chocolaty chips as the java
hmmm thats a good question, i don’t think i asked about that one. but if it has the java chips then prob not…. maybe they can make it without the java chips?
