Prem Soaps: With Love from Brooklyn
I got a great box of soaps and candles last week from Prem Soaps, a new Brooklyn-based company started by a vegetarian and two vegans. They make all the products in their kitchen using only raw, organic, and 100% vegan, cruelty-free ingredients. First of all, let me just say, wow did that box smell amazing when I opened it! Their list of ingredients are good enough to eat: vanilla, cardamon, cinnamon, juniper berries, cilantro, coffee, oatmeal, pine, chai… Nothing like feeling like you are eating breakfast in the middle of your shower! And everything comes in cute little containers with handwritten tags (almost all of the packaging is either reused or reusable, or recycled and recycleable). You can also return the mason jars that the candles and bath salts come in for $1 off your next purchase. Prices are more than reasonable: $8 for soap, $9/$14 for bath salts, $15 for salt scrubs, $5 for lip balm, $7-$21 for candles. Plus, they offer a variety of gift sets and samplers that would make great, unique gifts.
